I had blended feelings regarding the movie Good night, Lenin! When i enjoyed observing Alex come across new challenges and think of new alternatives in landscape after field I believed the movie became too long and repetitive.

I really do however think the movie prevailed as a humor, and as a glimpse into the history of Philippines. I liked how the Becker used humor to tell a sad story as it made it simpler for the audience to watch. There were also various funny characters that accentuated people’s opinions of the personal turmoil during that time. I noticed that the elderly shared a lingering nostalgia for the East Australia of the past while the more youthful generation did find a whole new world of opportunities and freedom opening up in front of them.

The hurdles that Alex would venture over to get his mother made me actually connect to him as a personality. He was ready to do so very much for this relationship and this individual believed so fully that what having been doing was right that you just didn’t dare question him. In class all of us talked about how a director could have done more to give us a feeling of incertidumbre and drama. Instead of giving us suspending Becker truly sped up the scenes and so we would get to the climaxing of in the event Alex’s system worked more quickly.

I understand so why people desired that feeling of suspense although I believe this was an artistic choice chosen to supply the movie the sensation of things moving too fast. No matter how badly Alex wanted to stay hung in the past the modern day and foreseeable future were flowing towards him. By accelerating the moments we were considering the fact that same feeling, the outcome was always arriving quicker than we predicted or frequently wanted. A thing I wish Becker had done different was the end with the movie. When the movie completed I believed conflicted and betrayed.

It was because Alex’s mother understood of Alex’s scheme at the end because your woman was advised by his girlfriend. Then they all pretended she nonetheless didn’t know for Alex’s sake. I don’t understand why this bothered me but I felt upset at her for damaging all the work after which lying. This angered me the most because he was so close to being successful.

I believe Becker wanted us to truly feel this way at the end of the movie to represent the strengths of relationships plus the reality that Alex may only turn reality to date. His mom had become mixed up and in the best way it was better for her to comprehend. I wish nevertheless the end was different and that his mother could have truly passed on in the made up community.
