The Internet seems to be the ideal technology for democracy.

When the Internet began, persons thought they will could speak and even take part in commerce with no need for a big police force. Because people via different cultures begin linking to the Internet, it seems that the Internet is merely as democratic as people make it. Government’s following move on the net has been even less comfortable.

China has recently pressured Google to rewrite their search application so that it helps the ideals of state security over individual freedom by blocking certain sites. In order to continue doing business in China, the Chinese government forced Google to disable certain benefits of their goods so that Chinese citizens are unable to connect to Website pages on topics such as man rights and democracy. The Chinese govt and Google derived the so-called Great Firewall of China in order to conceal through the public the potential contents which may pose threat to Oriental ideologies and politics.
