The values and principles that underpin the childcare sector work along side the regulations, rules and regulations that I follow within my everyday work on my placing. They govern things such as how many kids can show up at my setting, how various staff I’ve working every day, making sure that the children’s desires and needs are met and that they are always the main focus of virtually any planning I do. For me personally it means i have to ensure that I keep myself up-to-date with virtually any changes in these laws and regulations and that I keep myself up to date with virtually any training so I can always give you the best possible proper care I can.

When planning I actually try to use many different curriculum’s but always ensuring they are flexible and is based on the principles which nurture and encourage the children because individuals. The main framework I follow is based on the foundation phase covering seven different areas these are ¢ Personal and Social Creation, Well-being and Cultural Variety.

¢ Language, literacy and interaction Skills. ¢ Mathematical Development. ¢ Understanding and Knowledge of the World. ¢ Physical Development. ¢ Creative Development. ¢ Welsh Language Development

These areas allow me to make sure that every child is usually cared for relating to their individual needs as well as the requirements of the group, also they are used in the nursery environment in which almost all of my kid will attend, I find that this helps them make an much easier transition between settings. These kinds of values and principles will be implemented within my setting by simply us getting registered while using CSSIW in whose regulations we follow and so they come and inspect the setting every single three years. All of us treat every single child because an individual and meet every of their requirements as such.

I work through the use of praise as a method of making the child understand after they have done something that they should feel proud of, this can help build up their self esteem. Every single child includes a chance of free play daily, this allows these to move around the setting using what and who they need, helping those to learn how to socialize with their colleagues. When planning for the group I always try to include several cultures and abilities and therefore individuality, big difference and diversity will be valued and celebrated, I really do this through offering healthy nacks by different countries and create sessions. Everything in the establishing is era appropriate and is checked daily for wear and tear. The staff and i also are all CRB checked, been trained in child protection, and first-aid. Any problems are mentioned daily inside the session with planned staff meetings, thus giving me the chance to update staff on any kind of changes to types of procedures and plans and any information they need to learn about the children.

This means that we can think about our practice and carry on and share each of our knowledge and to enrich the experience of the children. The sharing information policies and procedures have already been developed after some time using the ideals and rules of the daycare sector, the policies that we use in my setting had been developed using the CSSIW restrictions that utilize these same principles and rules.

With Critical Case Reviews and the launch of up-to-date laws and regulations the value of information posting has become a much higher priority, as well as the importance of knowing what and how to share information with other professionals is critical. The Data Safety Act will help me identifies the ways through which I must manage all information for the children and staff that attend the setting including keeping that secure, but not passing in any information with out permission of that child’s mother or father or a member of staff.

I Know the fact that policies and procedures will work to a substantial standard during my setting and this my staff know how to cope with information they are really given, we now have just had an inspection together with the CSSIW in which there were not any significant concerns of not compliance to report, the inspector reviewed the setting and offers happy with the storage of records and happy with the training that the staff had received regarding the placing such as child protection.

The groups panel are available if perhaps any issues need to be fixed and that they want with the group, the committee I currently have, have been around in place for several years. The staff can also be very good on arriving at me in they discover an area through which we could boost or if they are worried about anything, any problems that concern the setting all together we will sit and discus together, to make sure that everybody is up to date and happy.

Next our inspection I have manufactured a few changes to the setting such as adding staff images on the father and mother notice table allowing them to know who approach if they may have any queries or problems. Also I actually hand out forms to equally staff and parents so I can assess the group to make certain we are giving the best assistance we can, the questions had been before closed questions that just required a yes or any answer this has know changed so if the parent or staff member wishes to add any kind of ideas or perhaps worries they will.
