The school which i come from, Campolindo High School, is among the best excessive schools in the state. We were often advised to not concern yourself with getting whatever we believe to be bad marks in the harder classes that people take since getting a W or perhaps even a C is equivalent to obtain an A in many other excessive schools.

We have been told during high school that the high common is predicted of us, like receiving excessive scores about standardized testing like the SEATED, ACT, AP exams, the CAHSEE, and the Star assessments.

We are also expected to respond a certain method outside of university because it has a reputation to uphold and all sorts of us happen to be linked to that reputation. I do believe that excessive standard via Campolindo features transferred and been engrained in life away from school.

From this point on in my life, I will expect only the best of myself because nearly anything less than that isn’t worth the time or the hard work and it merely requires looks poor to others as well. I don’t have to do well all the time in everything that I really do, but I must always learn from what I fail at and so the next time I actually attempt this, I will succeed. Campolindo High School has opened endless options for my own future and i also am very excited to knowledge them.

Going to Hayward La Honda Music Camp is an event that I will not ever forget. The camp seems like its stop from the remaining portion of the world, non-e of the complications from warring follow me personally to group camp. It’s a place in which I neglect all of my own troubles for the week that I was there, an excellent escape from reality. It is also a place to fulfill fun and interesting new people.

The campers who have go there cover anything from entering sixth grade to graduating senior high school. All the different amounts of musicianship get together within several bands, orchestras, and even pendre. Everyone constantly learns something about playing better because there is always someone who is superior to them by La Honda. Band camp is the best destination to hear strange stories and also the best destination to get stories to tell to friends at school, since everyone loves a story that starts out with “one time at band camp”.

La Honda doesn’t simply teach myself how to enjoy my oboe better; it teaches myself how to increase as a person. I understand teamwork as well as how to communicate with others with signals and thoughts instead of terms. I have also learned about disciplining myself, keeping back impulses, thinking points through ahead of I come to a decision.

All of these abilities that I learn at group camp will help me when playing with a band or perhaps orchestra, but in all areas of my life. The things i learn by band camp can’t be discovered in my high school graduation band. For high school, most of the people aren’t focused on making music, they take band because it’s an easy category to get a great grade in, their parents made these people take it, it looks good for college, particularly if they started in sixth or seventh grade, they can mess around with the friends during rehearsal, or they need by least twelve months of a performing arts category in order to graduate. At La Honda, most people are there since they want to come together to create the most wonderful music that they can possible produce. La Honda isn’t just about playing music though, it can about producing friendships and learning all types of skills that could last throughout your life.
