The movie Hotel Rwanda focuses on the storyplot of a gentleman named Paul Rusesabagina, a manager of the European-owned lodge in Rwanda. By making a seret retreat camp in the hotel, Rusesabagina was able to assist in saving the lives of 1, 200 Tutsis through the Hutu’s during the brutal genocide in 1994.

The gist of the film can be depicted in the underlying guru of how the film could portray a hellish celebration without using a lot of distressing views just to have the ability to show the audience the brutality of the genocide, the narrative of political criticism and comments from your lines voiced by the artists served as a substitute for these scenes leaving this to one’s imagination about how severe the actual event was. Many cultural issues were touched inside the film. For one, the indifference of the West towards the Photography equipment lives is usually believed to be the reason behind the genocide. One of the most forcing parts of the movie is the occurrence of the peacekeepers and their inability to intervene because these were told to not and this makes the situation more devastating for the hopeful Tutsi.

The tension showed in the film treat the inability of some to help in giving solutions to the condition even if this already needs personal view. What actually makes me personally uncomfortable is definitely the inequality shown in the film and the brutal solutions performed. It is also annoying to see that even though most of the foreign nationals were saved in the holocaust lots of the Tutsi are left hoping to be saved by the treatment of others and relying simply in the capabilities of one person.

This kind of film allowed me to reflect more on my cultural responsibilities the way in which it has challenged Paul to aid his along with still be able continue to saving lives of others without asking personal judgment.
