Music videos include definitely made a big influence on the west today.
Many people see music-video not only since videos with their favorite symbols on it but in reality see the movies as a way to impart messages. These messages generate great effects especially for the youth whom watch these videos on the constant basis. Sadly, do not have control over what we are able to see on the television. One of bad images that music videos have got portrayed is about African American women.
They are perceived to be promiscuous and are viewed as sex equipment. Because the pictures are widely known, they are prolonged to all Black women (West and Stevenson, 2003, s. 98). This is not fair because Black women, or any different women, really should not be seen and judged in this way. This kind of photo does not help promote respect for ladies. In contrast, the music videos distribute the message the women, Dark-colored in particular, are “easy. ” It is very demoting to all women and should be halted.
People, especially young adults, seeing these video tutorials will not have a problem accepting this kind of message and may make them believe that it is a reputable behavior (Battle, Bennett, & Lemelle, 06\, p. 117). Because hip hop music is the most common kind of genre demonstrating this kind of daunting image of Black women, it then makes sense that it must be easier to disrespect all Black people (Brummett, 2006, l. 253). Although music videos are entertaining and informative in nature, persons should be more careful about what they want to display especially with consider to females.
