The books California king of Diamond jewelry and Great aunt Parnettas Electric Blisters are very similiar in that they both portrait drawback of a depressed view on existence. Queen of Diamonds is known as a story of a lady known as Christine that is very upon life and wastes her days drinking and running until it draws up with her and your woman decides for taking her very own life. The other book, Aunt Parnettas Electric Blisters, is about a lady who feels out of place in the earth because she’s Indian, and she hails from the property of white-colored people. Great aunt Parnetta and Chrstines danger is similiar, because, they are both caused by pessimistic behaviour towards life.

Queen of Diamonds paints the perfect photo of how a negative attitude in everything makes everything worse. The story starts off in a medical center where a female named Christine is in pickup bed, sick. They make it clear to the audience that Christine was not in the hospital simply for this one occasion, but has spent lots of time there during the past as well. Christine was not some of those people who had been sick constantly, but the lady was someone who had gone away a lot of the time with her friends and drank. The drinking was your reason that she is at the hospital. That never when showed Christine as being completely happy, she was always in a negative mood, without really seemed to be pleased with anything. Towards the end of the book we find out that Christine is going to get rid of herself. The real reason for which your woman decides to consider her very own life is there is nothing for her to live pertaining to, nothing that she experienced made for very little. Christine had done practically nothing in her life time really worth enough to have for. We all also begin to see the picture in Aunt Parnettas Electric Blisters.

Aunt Parnettas Electric Blisters was a very good story with almost the same theme because Queen of Diamonds. The story is about a Indian lady whos refridgerator broke. The refridgerator was obviously a symbol, in the story, in the lady within a world of different people. The refridgerator was surrounded by Indians that have been nothing like that, a lot like just how Aunt Parnetta was in globe surrounded by white-colored people. Great aunt Parnetta saw this, and revolved just about every thought about it. She was overcome by idea that she was living out of place, and can not endure it. Cousin Parnetta did not have an external conflict, it had been something that your woman had to deal with for herself. She didnt have an excellent view on lifestyle, and she was angry all the time because of it.

The partnership of these two stories is that they both envolve and show the negative effects of a pessimistic frame of mind. Christine and Aunt Parnetta had different problems, yet were equally caused by precisely the same problem. All their issues got nothing to carry out with one another, although were related enough to be compared. All their themes had been both evident, and the same.
