Some attempted to calm Madame Schachter plus the others tied her up, gagged her and conquer her into silence.

This novel illustrates that cruelty breeds rudeness. Instead of reassuring each other in times of difficulty, the Jews interact to their instances by turning against one another. By treating the Jews less than human that they started to perform like animals and wild creatures. The fight for their own your survival also allows this deeper side to emerge. The heat, the being thirsty, the suffocating lack of surroundings drives the Jews to hurt their fellows. They all lose all their valuable belongings, and now they are being selfish with each other. Fortunately they are avoiding to gone out of their brain like Madame Schachter. In accordance to these people Madame Schachter is not really the only one enduring; therefore she should control her actions and stop embarrassing others.

Dame Schechter’s eyesight of the open fire is a foreshadowing of the burning bodies inside the crematories. Lastly, their continuous denial of their fear that something worst might happen allows the evilness to emerge. Madame Schachter’s shouts was appearing out of their nervousness. It was that madness were taking ownership in all of those. The Jews are trying to cover up their concerns by hitting Madame Schachter. In this story, darkness of horrific evil and brutality caused the Jewish people to paint out a dark and furious picture of human nature.
