The book, Eventually in the Existence of Ivan Denisovich simply by Alexander Solzhenitsyn is a publication with many invisible themes and symbols. This book based on each day in a Stalinist labor camp through the eyes of the primary character Shukhov. Solzhenitsyn will do a great job of showing how brutal these kinds of camps were. The way these ideas and visualizations will be expressed is the reason why this an excellent book. With Themes and symbols through this story, Solzhenitsyn records the unjust treatment of these kinds of captives. Throughout the daily sessions of Shukhov, Solzhenitsyn communicates the have difficulties for pride, individuality and meaning that these captives faced.

One of the main points I believe that Solzhenitsyn was trying to screen in his publication was the fight for human dignity. Through this prison that they try to strip all self-confidence from the inmates. They are cured as if these were animals and most of the inmates after time began to act like inmates. Shukhov was an exception to the rule. He declined to let the labor camp strip him of his self take great pride in and pride. When many would act like the pets they were cared for as, Shukhov would resist and work as a municipal human being. A fantastic example of this is how the inmates go consume. Then Shukhov took his cap away his shaved head nevertheless cold it had been, he would under no circumstances eat with it upon. (pg 16) While other inmates hurried to eat presently there food and threw bone fragments onto the ground, Shukhov continued to be extremely well mannered in the way this individual went regarding eating his meal just like he would before this individual entered the prison. While some give into the animalistic ways of the penitentiary, Shukhov continues to be constant and dignified and Solzhenitsyn shows this for Shukhov to segregate him self from the prison.

Another each day activity that takes place for Shukhov is the placing of his place in his footwear after each meal this individual has. To Shukhov, some thing as simple since his spoon is extremely important. The spoon this individual keeps in his boot is something that he has that no other inmate provides. To Shukhov the tea spoon represents eccentricity. The spoon is something that is unique to Shukhov in addition to a way that represents him. A spoon is a device used to nurture oneself and to Shukhov, taking care of himself physically and mentally is important to him. A straightforward spoon can be one extremely important part of Shukhovs wellbeing in the concentration camp.

One of the biggest icons in the book was bread. Loaf of bread was adding nourishment to to the inmates physically throughout the entire story. Bread was what they needed and what they needed to be completely happy. At the end of the story loaf of bread was what brought not merely physical peace to Shukhov by curving his being hungry but it also brought spiritual serenity to him when he gave the little bread he had to Alyoshka. Following giving his bread aside Shukhov started to be peaceful with his surroundings. Shukhov went to rest and was happy. Hed had a lot of luck today. Shukhov finally understood what Alyoshka meant when he referred to the Lords Prayer great suggestion to daily breads. Shukhov mentally received his daily loaf of bread for the first time and found peace with himself.

Solzhenitsyn key intent in describing the daily life with this specific defendent was to reveal the topics and emblems that the inmates used to get by in everyday routine. Without things like Shukhovs tea spoon or daily bread many of these prisoners may not have been capable of survive.
