Raymond Carver’s “Cathedral” is a account about how the narrator can be uncomfortable with having his wife’s blind friend, Robert, over. The narrator starts his story very unenthusiastic regarding Roger’s check out. I guess it was the narrator’s way to lighten up air, for the narrator to sort of loosen. His wife comes back, plus they all participate in having a very little smoke program. The narrator’s wife ultimately ends up falling asleep and Robert advises staying up late with the narrator.
