In reviewing different functions of education, that there are several. From formal to informal each is important as another in an individual’s development and future function in society. The function of formal education involves learning expertise and getting knowledge, we. e., studying, math, background, science, different languages to name a few.

Outside of the more necessary function of education is socialization, future prep, and financial functions. My own K-12 education has spanned from main school equally private and public, secondary, and business. Starting my personal educational profession in private school led to not only the greater formal facets of learning yet also casual.

Religion even though not the main objective of the university played great part inside the first many years of my socialization and integration into educational atmosphere. This was widely shown in the invisible curriculum of the private university I attended. A hidden program is where administrators, professors, and institution counselors for example have specifications of tendencies that they desire students to stick too (Manza et approach., 2013, p. 416).

There are many hidden rules through this school by dressing a specific way, prayer, establishing sexuality roles, and obeying authority. Looking back through the lens of a sociological perspective the hidden program is plain to see and understand. These items were not created rules, were not told to us, or taught in the formal curriculum they were illustrations that were demonstrated with simple words, appears, and attention. Six months in to the third class my parents shifted me into a public university. This helped bring a drastic in order to my education and future preparation.

Public school was vastly different and shocking to me as large elements of my formal education, casual education, and hidden curriculum changed. This set me on with future problems that could not have been completely foreseen at the moment. My socialization in the general public schools was difficult; externally the teachers were supporting and kind however the fact was I came in on an set up class from a parochial school.

My formal education was the 1st noticeable difference; I was even more along scholastically than the majority of students in the students and this put me with the disadvantage. The teacher compelled me to “dumb down”, I additional observed favoritism put on all those students who also performed towards the teacher and staffs excellent expectations. This is where I found my strengths and my identification not only in the curriculum, nevertheless also in the socialization I needed to better adapt to society away from the limited scope of public senior high school I had found myself in.

Through the vocational school I discovered the issues I needed, better habits, and a more accepting atmosphere that led to an improved attitude towards my education and long term. My business school did very well in preparing their particular students for the future. The professional school I used to be at acquired three applications, students worked well through all of them or just those who were needed depending on what their particular need was upon acceptance in to the program. There is High School Diploma, Technical Education, and Job Services. These types of programs included Finance and Business, Food, Construction(s), and Health Care to name a few (JC 2013).

Some of these may seem limited but with help of the Career Services office they could lead to further prospect. The management staff worked well diligently in offering support in essential areas such as screening, further educational pursuits, profession counseling, and career readiness. Without any of those I would not have gone through the recommendations, socialization patterns, i. e., dress unique codes, conduct, problem solver, work place interactions, that are essential in life and society amongst adults. The schools program style employs an extensive career creation training way which integrates the instructing of academics, vocational, employability skills, and social expertise executed through classroom, practical and structured learning (JC 2013).

All these are to cause career pathways, future, and stable career. It is in this vocational plan that the monetary function of education is likewise seen.
