Beowulf

This is my comparison of Robert Zemeckis’ 3 years ago movie Beowulf and of the epic composition Beowulf. Robert Zemeckis’ 2007 movie tells the story of Beowulf, the smoothness. However , that they share not merely similarities nevertheless also talk about differences. There are plenty of differences between the both. I honestly feel that the movie shows moredetail and explains you see, the story even more in depth than the poem did.

The first similarity and difference in both poem as well as the movie Beowulf is good vs . evil. The favorable in the poem of Beowulf is Beowulf and all the people that live in Hrothgar’s empire. The wicked in poem is Grendel, Grendel’s mother, and the dragon. The good versus evil happen to be about the same in Beowulf motion picture, the good inside the movie will be Beowulf and all of the people in Hrothgar’s kingdom. The wicked is also a similar in the approach, which is Grendel, Grendel’s mom, and the dragon, which happens to be Beowulf’s son in the movie.

The next difference in the film is that there was clearly actually a curse that caused Hrothgar’s kingdom to have such darkness and loss of life wished upon it inside the movie or the poem which did not have this a part of it. Grendel was actually Hrothgar’s son, which is a big difference involving the poem as well as the movie, as the movie added that component to make this more interesting. Hrothgar had slept with the Sea Witch and also a curse that quite simply gave his soul to the Sea Witch for a kid. The poem however did not have that included. The poem described that Hrothgar had a list that came from two various other monsters and the father of Grendel has not been known yet never explained Grendel was Hrothgar’s boy.

The final and last difference and similarity between the movie and poem Beowulf is that at the end of the video, was that they did not build Beowulf a tower just like he requested in the composition. In the poem, Beowulf advised Wiglac that he desired the geats to build a huge tower by the sea front side to show a remembrance of Beowulf to everyone who also sees the tower. Inside the movie Beowulf it would not have this part included. Film production company only got Wiglac receiving the crown as well as the whole empire putting Beowulf on a big ship effortlessly his pieces and establishing it on fire leading to the ending of the story.

In conclusion, the two movie Beowulf, and the epic poem Beowulf have equally similarities and differences. They will both notify the story of your epic leading man and give all of us an example of the hero’s with this particular Anglo-Saxon time period, and present us instances of good versus evil, yet more importantly Beowulf is a lesson to everybody, There are many dissimilarities between the both and I truthfully think that Robert Zemeckis’ 3 years ago movie Beowulfshows more detail and explains you see, the story of Beowulfmore comprehensive than the impressive poem would.
