Title: Phantom Warriors, book 1

Publisher: Garry A. Linderer

Main characters: a large number of LRRPs LRPs and Ranger nits in Vietnam

Synopsis: The book I go through was about LRRPs (long selection reconnaissance patrol)

LRPs (long range patrols), and Ranger units in Vietnam. The book advised stories of

several different types of businesses in the products most challenging times. The job of a unit

of this type was to infiltrate a designated RA( recon area) stealth like as possible having a

four to seven man team (sometimes larger). Once on the ground a team could set up an

OP ( observation post) and would always make an effort to remain undiscovered. Because of the

small number of size a great LRP would always prevent contact with the enemy however the book

proved to me that when conflict was inevitable the exceptional forces devices proved

themselves a truly lethal force. I might say by least 90 percent of times LRPs

could find themselves away numbered in a confrontation. If possible they would make an effort

and avoid but occasionally fighting your way out was your only method. The LRRP

Detactchment, initial Brigade, one hundred and first Airborne Department had a difficulty like this. Staff

Sergeant Papy Lynch and his guys where patrolling a high activity area when there crew

was abutted by 15 or 20 Viet Cong. Off the softball bat three men went down two

seriously hurt and the additional shot in the head. Presently there six man team was then a 3 man

crew. The two men at camp where active fending off of the invaders when one person that was

off undertaking his business was locating his in the past. He also was cought up in the

unexpected open fire and took place. Staff Sgt Lynch named in the runs and after

the ammo and grenades exactly where almost away, air support showed up. The majority of the VC exactly where

killed or ran away in fear of Death from Above. This was probably the most heroic testimonies

in the book.

Weaknesses: This was a fantastic book. My spouse and i couldnt find many weaknesses at all. The

one thing I did notice was the similarity in each of the tales. It seamed liked similar

thing happens in a line. The team will usually conclude running by a push of

great amount. If he’d have mixed up the accounts with the kinds when the group didnt

have to run it will have made the book more enjoyable to read.

Improvements: In order to read this book you had to use the Abbreviation dictionary in

the back. This didnt take the time me even though. I discovered a lot via it. Therefore the only change was your

one in the Weaknesses My spouse and i wrote.

I might only suggest this book to the people who are curious about history or perhaps

wars.
