Our Crazy World – Technology, Iraq and Hiv/AIDS Essay

The world today can be described as crazy a single, in many ways.

It is so different to what used to end up being. The improvement of technology, coupled with such things as HIV/AIDS or perhaps terrorism and America’s retaliation (and the Iraq War), combines to create a mind dazzling, and to some extent depressing environment for one to live in. With DVD’s and DVD AND BLU-RAY players, Playstations 1s and 2’s, as well as ‘old fashioned’ things such as video clips, cd’s, and computers, technology easily confuses the innocent bystander. Then simply there is the negative side of technology (although a few would believe computers and DVD’s are definitely the bad side): chemical combat, weapons of mass devastation and so on. For what reason do people create such things?

I suppose the answer is greed. Being a perfect case in point we have Saddam Hussein. This individual kills and suppresses his own people presumably because of greed) after which openly ‘defies’ America (I say sarcastically). Then on the other hand there’s Bush.

He’s certainly not exactly bad (or is definitely he? ), but he is greedy and moronic. He announces that America can be ‘gonna’ get rid of Saddam and free the Iraqi persons, meanwhile he’s thinking that he has Iraq and it’s resources, and it is one stage closer to global domination. There are rumours of his belonging to the Illuminati, a secret company which ‘controls our thinking’ and is trying to take over the earth.

So , who does one support in the Korea situation? Which will incoherent miser? My response to that is rather than side with anyone, one can either totally disregard it, or perhaps decide to side with peace. The wonderful thing is that, getting neither an Iraqi nor an American (I am in fact South African), I i am able to express my distaste for these two particular people without being shot, while Iraqis may have during the conflict, or possibly outcast as a north american.

However , Americans would have zero reason to ostracize me personally unless they actually like and support Bush, for We don’t detest Americans, I dislike money grubbing and lying individuals that exploit a scenario to their individual good. Simply look at the circumstance: big effective Bush gives Iraq a whole bunch of weapons of mass devastation (to his own advantage) and then a few years later this individual complains that Iraq is actually a threat so he determines to play military and take it all to come back, killing a few people in the process. All of that negativity about Bush most likely makes me personally sound pro-Saddam, which I was definitely not. To my opinion, he is the quintessential evil.

If it came down to it, I think I would be more comfortable if Saddam was murdered rather than Bush. Of course addititionally there is the deeply depressing element of our crazy world, HIV/AIDS. While we understand for sure that someday Saddam and Rose bush will ‘hit the bucket’, AIDS may never go on holiday (not to get pessimistic or anything). Unless of course a cure is found, it seems in order to stop AIDS is education in avoidance.

And then persons actually have to care enough. It may seem unusual to some persons, but surviving in Africa I understand what could happen. Some witch doctors basically prescribe having sex with a virgin to treatment AIDS. One thing that really grows to me is when people state ‘Oh, SUPPORTS isn’t that bad, it’s good populace control. ‘ I then usually ask them if they would have a similar view in the event that someone near to them contracted AIDS. Will they simply notify their dying loved one that they can be sorry she/he has HELPS, but you will discover simply too various people on this planet and her death is not really that much of a reduction anyway?

That usually gets them thinking. Therefore , what are we to do, with all this perplexing and depressing…’stuff’ (for insufficient a better word)? It may not audio so wonderful, but I suppose we should merely plod as well as hope all this gets more understandable and less depressing!
