Group 4 Reflection Essay

Group 4 project was an interesting learning experience.

It forced me to work with people that I haven’t worked with before, take into account the team’s several opinions and make the most away of whatever we had. All of us started out with an idea, water suspended on the table without a cup, that people spent an entire meeting about, before we realized that it had been not possible to do it, which left us with two conferences to decide that which we were going to do. I was in that case unable to make the two next meetings, which caused key planning complications, which were reflected during the presentation, put into the fact that I did not talk enough with my team members about what we were going to do, which in turn left the whole group pretty much unaware on each of our actual business presentation.

Added to this, we all had different ideas with what we wanted to perform with the paper helicopter, what size should it be, how we had been going to present it, which usually led to fights on the day with the presentation. I am generally stubborn, in fact it is hard to create me modify my mind after i am occur a direction, but all of us finally were able to come to a compromise which usually satisfied everybody. From this, We learned that my own idea is usually not necessarily the sole working solution, and that right now there isn’t constantly one way to a problem, although better planning and better communication would have avoided such problem for the actual demonstration day.

Regarding the actual display, it was evident that our preparing was not extremely good. A lot of material was missing, and we had to operate around last minute to gather the thing that was left. My own teammates had been stressing out mainly because they weren’t ready by any means, but being used to carrying out things very last minute, I think that managed pretty much to take charge of the group task to get what was required and to lead the actual business presentation, which surprised me.

We am not only a very very good public audio speakers, in fact We don’t just like standing in entrance of a course and chatting, but I found that during this project, not simply was I actually not afraid of going up, yet I actually loved it. We learned that when I put as much effort?nternet site can in to something, specifically something that I love, my fear of public speaking actually goes away and the hard work that we put in this project, even last second, comes out and makes something which can be viewed as good. We all did possess trouble handling the display though, as soon as the class began to their own daily news helicopters, it had been really hard to get them concentrated again.

Our whole team understood that, and instead we all instinctively split up into little groups to help everybody achieve the ultimate design. In my experience, my overall opinion of the presentation is that although we lacked prep, we finished up doing something good. The things i learned using this experience is the fact I was not limited to what I did in the past.

Overtaking the presentation was something that really shocked me, and although I am aware that I talked a bit too very much, I was glad that this happened like that, as it demonstrated me that public speaking can actually be a single strength instead of my weakness.
