Although article much more about the importance of Columbus Day to Italian-Americans, I can concur that Christopher Columbus was more bad in that case good. The content states that “it was not my peoples’ finest hour”. The author believes such as Italian-Americans have Columbus Day, the natives Us citizens deserve a national holiday for a Indigenous American main character because in reality the Residents were in this article years just before Columbus found Hispaniola. To summarize, I do not really believe Columbus deserves a town, much less a complete day of celebration. If I had occupied his time, his actions still wouldn’t have been morally acceptable.

Columbus has been given too much credit, specifically because not merely was this individual looking for Asia but there were natives living there for a long time before Columbus got presently there. I believe, despite having his wrong actions, Columbus Day will still be celebrated because of his significance.
