The level of lower income, causes and effects within the Educational sector as well as educational performance of students inside the Nigeria can be worrisome. Low income, which forms a specific culture and lifestyle, is a growing issue in Nigeria. The number of Nigerians living in low income is continuously increasing; therefore its effects on learners performance. This research targets the causes and effects of lower income on the academics performance of pupils in primary college, using major school inside Pankshin Local Government as a case study.

To create a comprehensive overview of the study and data collection, both primary and secondary methods were utilized. The primary method includes the questionnaire when secondary approach includes ebooks, articles, effects and scholars performance of students among 2005 2011. Questionnaires were allocated among three (3) randomly chosen main schools, and the returned questionnaires were collated, analysed and interpreted. The results showed that many students in primary universities studied have parents who also are living below poverty series subsequently, this affects their very own performance in school as a result of deficiency of income. Additionally, majority of the students whose parents are below poverty line include reported cases of different illnesses which cause absenteeism.

Last but not least, it was observed that several students dropout as a result of lack of ability to shell out tuition fees. This exploration hereby recommends that Govt should form teams with private bodies to make as well apply policies to minimize poverty. Finally, teachers are encouraged to inculcate instructing techniques that will help students understand the subject conveniently in order to work.
