Amgen can be described as Thousand Oak trees, California-based firm that found the unenviable task of dealing with law suits filed by 15 says on the allegations of a Medicaid kickback plan. The company also experienced two extra whistleblowing legal cases that were recorded against that in Bonanza County simply by former personnel who charged the company of sacking after they detected unethical practices inside the firm’s procedures and reported the wrongdoings to managers. Amgen provides experienced these kinds of lawsuits intended for alleged dishonest practices inspite of enacting a Code of Ethics that emphasizes the need for employees and everything organizational stakeholders to do the right thing.

According to Amgen’s Code of Ethics, personnel are not only urged to do the ideal thing although also asked to resolve honest dilemmas through evaluating the legality of proposed activities, compliance with organizational plans, company’s beliefs, and evaluation of honest issues including rights and respect. Moreover, the retaliation had not been based on the firm’s value and evaluation of moral issues like rights and respect.

In some cases, whistleblowing is a term that can likewise refer to the disclosure of wrongdoing by simply organizational users regarding a problem considered to be of public interest. Since his initial work proved useless, O’Brien should have considered executing external whistleblowing rather than hang on to file court action upon retaliation.
