Identity

English language Speech Hi I’m Maddy and Now i am here today to explain for what reason I think that it can be difficult to maintain a strong feeling of specific identity inside our society. It can quite often very difficult to maintain a powerful sense of the individual identification in this world, it’s a organic instinct for most of us to want to feel approval into culture. We all feel the need to change and leave the parts of us that make all of us who were to comply with people’s expectations.

Society has changed into a crucial influence on who also we are and how we are perceived.

We can never really be the selves due to constant dread criticism and judgement that comes with it. All of us have something about them that makes these people who they are however they feel they should hide that from people because they fear of denial and distress. This fear can sometimes generate us change how we take action around specific people and we can end up forgetting who have we are. In the book growing up Asian nationwide there is a tale in there with regards to a young boy named Sunil. He attempted to change his to Neil because it’s a more westernized name and he believes it would make him fit in better.

This may not be the case. Varying your name will not likely change who you are as a person and privately I actually such as the name Sunil better than Neil anyway. Sure changing your name might prevent some of the teasing but at some point you will appreciate that you don’t need to change who you are to gain friends. As Gandhi once said “The easiest way to find yourself is to drop yourself inside the service more. I do believe this relates to Sunil’s’ story because he eventually ends up realising that he won’t need to modify his name to be accepted.

Inside the song ‘This is who also I am by Vanessa Amorosi it says “Well it’s alright to be personally Now We have Learned To Stand, Very well it’s FINE to be just who I am We have spent years really hating me wishing to be good friends Now I expect that you can figure out, this Is Who have I Am. I think these lyrics fantastic powerful that help explain the subject that We’ve chosen to speak about. She clarifies that it took her years to realise whom she was and that the girl was right now okay showing everyone whom she in fact is. I know therefore how hard it is to be your self in this world.

We have judged on every little issue we perform, how we costume, what we state, how we present ourselves, completely everything. Occasionally we speak differently or dress in another way to impress those that ought not to matter to us, because if we need to spend several hours in front of the reflect trying to modify our physical appearance and who have we are actually then these folks aren’t well worth our period. It’s thus common through this day and age to marry somebody for their appears or their particular wealth once really that shouldn’t subject. They should fall in love with their individuality, that’s what matters the most.

I believe this is what makes us confused about who were because all of us change so often around different people that it’s so difficult to maintain our own identity. This isn’t always an undesirable thing, at times losing each of our identity is in fact good for us. It can make us open the eyes and find out who the true friends are. It makes you see things from a unique perspective and make you appreciate that life’s not regarding trying to win over people, is actually about taking yourself and being whoever you want to be. To summarize I believe that it must be hard to keep our identity with modern-day society but when we discover how to accept yourself, hopefully other folks will also.
