When this kind of project was brought to my attention at the start of the term I didnt know what to anticipate. I didnt know much about a history of skill or any of the specific terms that are used in the art globe. I have been to museums in past times but that was once i was in grammar school and they didnt teach us any of the particular terms that they can used in the art world. On the handout that you gave the class you wrote questions that you although would be great for us to answer to succeed within this paper.

The museum which i decided to go to was the Countrywide Gallery of Art in Washington D. C. Inside the following paper I will discuss what the art gallery looked like, the tour i went on. The things i thought of the tour, the pieces of art inside the tour. The way i felt when i was in the museum and the discovery that I found out about personally about the type of art that catches my attention. When I arrived at the National Gallery of Art, the outside framework of the building took my personal breath apart. From exterior looking at the museum its size just astonished me.

The big tall granite columns and the stone steps jogged my memory of ancient Greek architecture. When I managed to get up the marbled staircase My spouse and i finally came inside the museum. When I got inside the museum I had entered from the back and I had to walk for the information office. On my way towards the information office I look around the museum to se if perhaps anything upon that ground caught my own eye. The statue during the museum caught my I as it was a gorgeous fountain plus the sound of the water appearing out of the figurine made me think that it was beautiful.

After taking a look at the fountain I built my way to the data desk to get a map and a list of the tours which were going on that day. My spouse and i looked over checklist and decided to go on the Steve Singer Sargent tour. When I arrived at the National Photo gallery of Art there in which a lot of different tours i could have proceeded. I decided i wanted to carry on the John Singer Sargent Tour because I had learned about him and some of his works when doing my own clipping collection. I likewise wanted to find some of his work since they were imagined in the Baltimore Sun.

The paintings that have been in the Baltimore Sun which i actually reached see up close was the Madame X and Carnation, Lily, Lily, Went up. These two works of art in the sun had been just black and white images but in the museum their beauty was unbelievable and in addition there size was impressive. I had to wait in line for approximately 40 a few minutes before the travel started and it held up about an hour Identity say. The first art work that you discover when you are within the tour is the Madame By. Madame Times is probably the art work that Sargent is most recognized for.

In the piece of art Madame Gautreau stance and provocative costume were thought to be eccentric and astonishing. Madame Gautreau mom wanted Sargent to take out of his demonstrate because she thought that the painting was to provocative. The other piece of art that was at the Baltimore Sun which i saw was Carnation, Lily, Lily, Rose. This painting was Sargents masterpiece, over art find out as impressionism. He captured the effect of twilight while using artificial mild of candle light lanterns as the light mirrored off the faces of the twins in this piece of art.

There were more paintings that had been on this head to but the ones I actually talked about had been the ones that I used to be most enthusiastic about. Some of the different pieces of art which were on display were Fumee dambre gris 1880, Sortie de legilse1882, The Daughters of Edward Darley Boit1882, Enna and Betty, Daughters of Asher and Mrs. Wertheimer1901, Lord Ribblesdale1902, On the Grand Canal1907, Palmettos1917, Two Young ladies in White-colored Dresses1909-1911and Nonchaloir1911. Overall I think that the tour was extremely informative and in addition beautiful.

I like for the most part most of Sargents works of art. After the tour was over I proceeded to walk around the rest of the art gallery. I came about all types of fine art that I seriously didnt just like. I came across a lot of biblical works of art and they just didnt whatever it takes for me. I also came across portraits of some of the presidents. They were ok but they only didnt have beauty that we was looking for. We later discovered the beauty that we was looking for when I came across a room in the art gallery that was filled with scenery paintings.

Perhaps I figured out then that, that was your type of fine art that I just like. I also came to pondering this since I love to be outside month in month out. I just are a nature lover and all that Mother Nature is offering. In conclusion I had developed a very good period at the museum. Since it was the first time I’ve been as the I expected a lot through the museum and the museum would a fine work in executing up to my own expectations sometimes more. At first in the museum We didnt feel real secure because We didnt understand what to expect.

But since the time passed while I was in the museum I did grow more comfortable through the time We left We felt decent about myself because I had developed learned a lot in class and didnt feel like an fool like I thought I would. In the handout you asked the question would you visit a museum again if it werent mandatory? Very well at the beginning of the semester I would have alerted you not within a million years but now I would personally have o tell you that I would. I had a really good experience because I know regarding the types of artwork in the museum and also some of the pieces I had already truly seen.
