In the art work, Saint Francis of Assisi Receiving the Stigmata, by artist Jan Truck Eyck, we see a landscape which occurs on a rugged hillside overlooking a community. They both present Saint Francis with his stigmata facing the viewer. Yet , they were both equally done during different moves and styles. St Francis of Assisi and a Lover is very Gothic. Its characters are special, especially those of spiritual importance. Religious was supposed to be something strange, something that was unfathomably awesome to the prevalent man. Designers depicted the spiritual side to things, rather than the exacto.

The Renaissance was the actual opposite. Lots of the artists had been hyper-realists.
